“I thought you were going to hypnotize me or something.”
That was Brian Welch’s first thought when he went to church for the first time a couple months ago.
It isn’t news that people have a misconception about “church”… Brian Welch’s conversion is news because as of last week he was still a member of the band KORN.
I went to their website (so you won’t have to!) and read through some forums… Welch’s conversion has caused a lot of Korn’s fans to consider Christ as well. Many were sharing their plans to travel to Valley Bible Fellowship to hear Welch share his testimony during one of the 3 Sunday AM services. Some apparently drove for over 30 hours to hear his testimony.
I won’t do much more than provide links… but you might find it worth your time to learn more about this new brother in Christ… especially if you have ever prayed for a “rock-star” or scoffed at those who do.
Most likely, you will not agree 100% with Brian’s current theology (I certainly do not), but if you listen to his testimony and hear his reverence for God’s Word and are not touched… I would be very surprised.
I’ll be praying for Vince, Tommy, Nikki, and Mick as I send this…
