On our website… the MRS and I are answering some questions about ourselves and I always dread those “What is your favorite…” kind of questions because it is hard for me to settle on a favorite of almost anything!
So… the question was… What is your favorite scripture? Ummm… can I say “all of ‘em”? no? k.
Well… I finally settled on one… and you can click here to find out what it is. MRS SQJ’s answers might not be up yet… but we’ll be working on it and post an update here when we upload her answers.
Here’s some verses I considered and ultimately didn’t choose as “favorite”… such a shame…
Psalms 19:1 - The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Psalms 37:23-24 - If the LORD delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
Psalms 86:7 - In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me.
Psalms 118:24 - This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalms 147:3 - He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Isaiah 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Matthew 25:21 - Well done, good and faithful servant . . . Enter into the joy of your master.
Mark 1:27 - He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.
Mark 4:41 - Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?
John 21:17 - Lord, You know all things.
John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Romans 5:1-2 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 - So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 4:6 - God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
Hebrews 4:16 - Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
James 5:8 - You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Hi. I enjoyed reading about your favorite Scriptures, and reading the long list of “almost favorites” I would like to invite you to check out my website http://www.scripturememorychallenge.org Our main feature is the New Testament One Year Challenge where we memorize 1 key verse from every chapter of the New Testament. This summer we have 2 projects memorizing from ROMANS and JAMES. May God bless you as you continue to get to know Him better and better. In Christ, Phil Walker (845)416-8010 or philjohn1558@yahoo.com (JOHN 15:5-8 is my current favorite Scripture)
