No… not the movie. I’m talking about Ken (L), Arthur (C), and myself…

Ken is from New York and his wife is Taiwanese. They are church of Christ missionaries here in Taiwan. Arthur is a Christian from Taiwan. He was doing graduate work in Oregon and enjoyed a Chinese Bible study he was involved with. When he returned to Taiwan, the leader of that Bible study put Arthur and Ken in touch with one another and Arthur has been faithfully attending our English worship service on Sunday nights.Several weeks ago, Arthur approached me about starting a Bible study at his company. We have been meeting for about 5 weeks now and it is a LOT of fun. I had been spending much time in prayer about teaching English Bible studies, and this is a blessed answer to those prayers, although it is an answer I wouldn’t have come up with.

We have 14 people in the class and they are all employees at either Nanya or Inotera. Both companies are MAJOR players in the realm of semiconductor manufacturing. If you have a computer from Dell, HP, Compaq, Apple, IBM, and others… you are likely running RAM designed and/or manufactured by one of these companies. If you are really a geek… you might find it interesting that Nanya was the 1st company in Taiwan to be approved to manufacture the new DDR2 RAM.

We are trying to move through the entire Bible in just 9 weeks! This week’s lesson is “4 Fathers” and we will try to cover Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Yeah… that’s about 40 chapters in Genesis… and I need to figure out how to cover that in 60 minutes… 1.5 minutes per chapter…. hmmmmm….. My students are REALLY smart…
