Restore the Order

Don’t expect me to blog about every Nebraska football game in the future… but after the last few years of suffering… the Cornhuskers’ 32-28 victory today over Michigan in the Alamo Bowl has to be mentioned.

Celebrate!

This game was great on so many levels… After a lot of struggles the last few years, it looks like Nebraska has really turned the corner.

  • Nice to play a team with a history as great as Nebraska’s… and beat them.
  • Nice to beat a Big 11 team.
  • Nice to get scoreboard back from UM after 20 years ago in the Fiesta Bowl.
  • Nice to have 15 unanswered 4th quarter points.
  • Nice to see a running back with 160+ yards. (But the West Coast Offense means throwing all the time right? Ha ha.)
  • Nice to see a classic finish.
  • Nice to win as a big ‘dog.
  • Nice to know Taylor is coming back next year. Tough… tough… guy. Wow.
  • Will be nice to be ranked in the final poll and probably in the preseason poll next year.
  • Fun day to be a ‘Husker fan.

Even though I said “see” a lot up there in that list… I didn’t actually see the game. We gathered around the computer here to listen to the internet stream! Good family fun! If anyone recorded the game… I’d gladly pay for shipping and the media if you could find time to copy it and send it to me.

Beautiful pictures from the Lincoln Journal Star are following…
