Update on Mark Trotter

January 31st, 2006 · No Comments

I’m going to cut/paste the latest entry from over at http://www.teamexpansion.org/caring4mark/.

I probably won’t quote or link many of the posts… but I feel like I NEED to mention Mark occasionally to remind us all to pray. I’ve noticed at least one reader of this blog left a comment for the Trotters on their update page… that they are praying. If this blog only serves to help people pray for Mark… it is worth it. Read this post (below) and get over to their site to read more. Don’t just read… but pray.

Things are quite frustrating now. Mark has fallen a couple of times. His legs just give out. He slept most of Sunday. We visited the neurosurgeon and will repeat a CT scan sometime this week. He is still very quiet, but I get a smile from time to time.

I am so thankful that our insurance has provided and already delivered a walker and wheelchair for him to use. They were here within two hours. Also, my father is the handiest man in town and has already gotten started building a wheelchair ramp for us. Mark’s brother, Jay and his wife, Shelly came up from Arkansas and were here “just as the right time” to help me get Mark out of the house and into the car to go visit the doctor. Mark’s parents arrived back in town this afternoon for a tearful reunion. Pray for them. Its so hard.

Well, everyone’s advice of “one day at time” has been put into play a new way today. Again, I am so blessed by all the help I am receiving. Meals are coming, transporation for the kids to and from school for this week and most importantly, prayers. Please keep them coming. I wasn’t expecting to see Mark struggle physically so soon. It is overwhelming right now.

Love to all, Lyla
