Sicker than ever of being sick…..

February 9th, 2006 · 1 Comment

Friends…. Family…. Readers…. Visitors….
I’m trying to take a time-out from holding my head and groaning in agony to type this.
We need your prayers for our health…
I posted this last week about being sick… and I’ve had a couple better days… (I went to watch the Super Bowl and we’ve been out to dinner at a friend’s house and had dinner guests ourselves) but I’m feeling awful now.

I have so much to do……… I really don’t have time for this.

That fact used to be enough to prevent most sickness in my life… I just pressed on as though I wasn’t sick and it would fade away… but the last year has been a different story altogether. My previous approach was so successful that I really don’t know how to handle actually being sick. I’m trying to move on, but the pain is almost unbearable. I’m trying to rest… but sleep is hard to come by.
I’m selfishly mentioning my own condition… but MRS SQJ has bronchitis and has been managing this house as best she can while I am almost totally unable to participate in life on earth right now. The kids aren’t 100% healthy, but are doing well considering mom and dad are so toxic.

I need to get a newsletter out today. I had some things I needed to do over Chinese New Year break that I couldn’t get to due to sickness…. and now I have to try to squeeze them in. Normally, I’d just stay up as late as I needed… get the work done……… but my body can’t handle this right now……….. I’m sure “age” and “diet” and “weather” are factors…… but the Satanic attacks are clearly the biggest reason. Our vision for a Church Planting Movement here is contagious and we are moving forward on many fronts… the resistance of our enemy, the devil, is very real. Fortunately, we are on the offensive in this war at this time… taking over new territory. We need a breakthrough. We ask that you help us pray for one. Please pray about a time of fasting and prayer for our health and work.
