Apparently… I’m allergic to Fridays….. no not THAT FRIDAY’S…. but the fifth day of the week… I’ve felt AWFUL each of the last 3 Fridays including today…….. BUT this Friday had some good news.
If you get our email updates and/or our mailed monthly reports… you know we’ve been asking people to pray about a vehicle we could use while back in the USA this year. This is how we live folks… we ask God for EVERYTHING… we literally would not have bread to eat if not for God’s gracious and faithful leading of his people to give in various ways to support our family here in Taiwan. We ask God to lead us and lead others in their support of us and we trust that all will work out… since God holds us in his hand… and directs our path.
As if we needed more proof… God has been proven faithful once again…
We are very blessed in that we have a small number of churches supporting our work who are VERY involved. They are literally our lifeline.
This morning Stephanie called us to tell us she had just gotten out of a meeting in which the elders and mission committee at the Cedar Ridge Christian church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma had decided to purchase a new minivan for the purpose of providing transportation for missionaries while on Home Service. Can you believe it? We applaud their foresight and we are touched by their generosity.
It is not OUR van… but we will get to use this vehicle while we are back in the USA.
They also provided a LARGE FINANCIAL GIFT toward the cost of our training and restoration programs we’ll attend at Missions Training International this summer. They might want the actual gift amount to remain secret so all I will say is that it is somewhere between $5999 and $6001.
THANK YOU GOD AND THANK YOU CEDAR RIDGE CHRISTIAN CHURCH!
Stephanie… is this it?
