If pressed… I’d probably tell you that my favorite song lyric of all time was written by Steve Taylor. It is from the SQUINT album and the song “The Lament Of Desmond R.G. Underwood-Frederick IV”. iamnotjokingyouthatisreallythenameofthesong!
The line?
“Ah, the news of my impending death came at a really bad time for me.”
Anyway… I found out today that Steve Taylor has written and directed a movie… it is called “The Second Chance”. It is currently playing in theaters but in a VERY limited release. It stars Michael W. Smith and jeff obafemi carr (who spells his name in all lower-case letters for some reason). I wouldn’t give “The Second Chance” a FIRST CHANCE of being seen by me if not for the fact that Steve Taylor doesn’t make crap. So… I’ve gotta know…. have any of you seen this? Check out the links… go see the film… and report back to us here, K?

Oh… here’s the first verse of that song I mentioned earlier… good stuff…..
Ah, the news of my impending death came at a really bad time for me
Yeah, the news of my impending death any other day, might have been okay
I was starting to track with my inner guide
I was getting in touch with my feminine side
But when the doctor starts whistling ‘Happy Trails’
Tends to knock a bit of wind out of the old sails

Sounds interesting. Not even playing in MO though. Closest would be Tulsa.

I have seen the movie. It’s a great story, but seems to have been produced on limited funds or something. The camera is very shaky in many scenes, and I nearly got seasick watching it! It really is a wonderful story, though.
