The best way for one or 2 people to get around the city is by scooter….. mine is a 125cc. You’d be surprised at how quick these scooters are… and you might also be surprised at how much stuff besides people you can load on these things. I regularly carry my guitar… and sometimes we carry suitcases… bags from Costco… whatever can be placed on the small footboard or strapped on.

I went out to get boxes the other day (I’ve done that a few times the last few weeks!) and after stopping at my 5th place, I finally had enough boxes to make it a “full load”. I was reaching over the top of the tall boxes to reach my handlebars. The boxes were jammed up in my armpits. They were broken down flat. You can picture it right? And the smaller boxes were wedged in front of those and everything seemed really nice and tight and safe and….. immovable. But no….. at one point on the way home… as I’m passing a taxi on the right (as is our custom here)… and I notice the smaller boxes beginning to fall…….. they are dropping of my beast of burden to the left side… right where that taxi is and who knows what else. I can’t slam on the brakes and I can’t ignore it… so the adrenaline takes over and my left arm shoots out and I grap the tops of the boxes as they slip off the edge of the scooter. Fortunately I had taped them together before I left and I was now holding about 10 boxes by the FLAP of the tallest one… and driving… and braking… and staying calm (and hopefully looking cool).

Besides some road rash on the edge of the bottom box which was dragging on the street, everything turned out fine.

I’m hoping you’ll stay with me here… but here’s another thing that really gets my adrenaline up… living by faith.
We are enjoying the greatest highs of our lives right now as we dream the impossible… pray for the unlikely… and walk by faith. We’re having the time of our lives actually.
We are hearing rumblings of incredible changes being considered by our friends here…… God’s Spirit is moving in ways that are vindicating and confirming our choices and decisions and we are more confident than ever that the national revival we pray for is upon this land! We told our friends we wouldn’t say anything to anyone else….. but I keep typing and erasing! Let’s just say that people are fasting and praying… we are seeing a growing passion for reaching the lost in new and exciting ways which it seems are more relevant than ever!

I know that this “high”… like an adrenaline high… may pass… but I like the fact that living by faith is a choice. As long as we live by faith… we are tapped into a power far more lifechanging than adrenaline!
