That’s what I’ve been calling Angie the last couple days.
In the middle of the night… 1:15AM Thursday… Mollie scratched Angie’s cornea. Wierd… yeah… I know.
I was sleeping on the couch because of my back (and the couch is wonderful so that is nice) and since we are staying with my mom and dad now, we are trying to not “disturb their peace” as much as possible and so if Mollie cries in the night… it just seems best to go get her.
At 1:15AM Angie came out to the couch and woke me up saying she’d been scratched in the eye… what should we do? When I was in 10th grade, I got poked in the eye while going for a rebound in a basketball game (I DID get the rebound) and so I completely understood her situation. It wasn’t really an emergency, but it HURT. We really only had 2 options…
1. If the pain was too much… go to the ER.
2. If it was possible to sleep… do that and go to the optometrist in the AM.
She chose #2… then at 7:15AM woke me up again to tell me she didn’t sleep. Hmmm.
So….. we went to the eye doctor and the doctor was great. She gave Angie a patch the first day and when we returned on Friday she got a contact lens to protect the injured area and it worked really well. My sister took Angie back to the doctor on Saturday AM and she should be better in a couple days and has 4 sets of eyedrops to manage for the time being.
I’ve been telling her she should go get her eyes looked at… but this wasn’t really what I had in mind!
