Floyd Landis has tested positive for high levels of testosterone.

This puts his Tour title in jeopardy… and if he really was doping then he should be stripped of the title and banned forever… but I doubt he was doping.

There are natural reasons this could happen… and I’d think that riding the best ever stage of the Tour might tent to get your testosterone up…

Unfortunately for Landis… “innocent until proven guilty” (which Americans are familiar with) doesn’t apply in this case. The Tour and cycling’s governing bodies will decide… but in the court of public opinion… Landis is already guilty and it is likely that no evidence to the contrary will change most people’s minds.

He actually has said it isn’t so…

Hopefully he’s right.
