Back in June and July I blogged about the North American Christian Convention (NACC). I still believe that it will be remembered as one of the beginning steps of a great movement towards unity.
The most recent issue of Christian Standard has several articles about the 2006 NACC I’d like to share with you. I’ll link them below…
NACC President’s Message: Together in Christ
David Faust
David Faust, president of the 2006 North American Christian Convention, pleaded for unity in his opening night sermon.
NACC Viewpoint 1: We Were There
Victor Knowles
June 27-30, 2006 was a “we were there” occasion for more than 10,000 people in the American Restoration Movement, also known as the Stone-Campbell Movement.
NACC Viewpoint 2: A Good Fit
Milton Jones
It was so subtle you may have missed it. Just a handshake. That’s all it was . . .
NACC Viewpoint 3: Together–It’s Reality
Judy Hutchinson
The NACC has become a working vacation for me. My father-in-law, W.D. Hutchinson, founded the business called Christian Audio Tapes, which records every main session and workshop of the event.
NACC Viewpoint 4: You Just Had to Be There
Steven Clark Goad
I am parson for a church of Christ that has a tradition of not singing with instruments in our assemblies. As a music major in college, and even now, I have often wondered what the fuss was over a lousy piano in the church house.
NACC Viewpoint 5: Our Bloggers Said . . .
Arron Chambers, Brian Jones, and Jennifer Taylor
Our three bloggers all were at the North American Christian Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, and all had unique observations about the event.
