If you, like me, missed the Insight Bowl pitting Texas Tech versus Minnesota… it looks like you (we) missed a GREAT game. Unless you are a Golden Gopher fan…
TT was down 31 points at the half and Coach Leach basically told his team that they were now in a great position: they had set themselves [...]

Campus Ministry Plug
December 30th, 2006 · No Comments
A little plug for campus ministry here: Some of the first gospel seeds were planted in Sarah (one of our Taiwanese sisters) while she was studying in the States. Jessie, who came to church last week, was taken in by believers while she was studying in the States and now is thirsty to learn more [...]

mac.com slow for you?
December 30th, 2006 · 2 Comments
I’m curious. I just had my 2nd teammate move their website and blog over to a mac.com address. I can understand why people do that… but…
I have found that the sites hosted there load *much* slower than any other host. I’m curious… are they slow for you too?
I’m guessing that it is similar to why [...]
Like the larger font-size?
December 29th, 2006 · No Comments
I’m not sure why I didn’t increase the font size on the blog a long time ago. I’ve always thought that I would change the theme… but that may not happen… so… I hope you like the larger font.
I’m still hoping to change the theme someday… yeah… that’ll be the day.

About Christmas
December 28th, 2006 · 1 Comment
Hugh Hewitt is a Christian blogger and I often find his take on various current and historical events to be helpful in forming my own opinions.

The 14 days of Homeschooling
December 27th, 2006 · No Comments
**sung to the tune of “The 12 days of Christmas”**
**we found this at the Sonlight Forums, but I don’t know the original source**
The reason this is funny to us… is that we get *every* one of these comments regularly. The only discrepancy between our family and the song is that we really *are* strange! [...]

December 27th, 2006 · No Comments
Hi… there was a large earthquake in southern Taiwan last night. We live in the Taipei area which is in the north. I was out on my scooter at the time, but Angie and the kids felt it very strongly. When we checked later and realized that it was about 7 on the Richter scale [...]
Online File Conversion
December 18th, 2006 · 1 Comment
You know I like to pass along technology related tools that I think might be helpful… here’s another one.
ZAMZAR.COM
I don’t know what the name means, but you can go to that website… upload some files… and convert them to several different file types. Since it is done through a web browser (and the the link [...]

Mollie’s special powers
December 17th, 2006 · 2 Comments
Angie overheard Joshua speaking frantically to Mollie after Mollie had played the role of ‘Baby Jesus’ in the Christmas show practice today after worship….
“Come with me Baby Jesus! I need you to help me run fast by using all of your powers!”

C64 rulez
December 16th, 2006 · 4 Comments
I know faithful reader Sean C had a Commodore 64. Anyone else?
I did not… as I had the sweet Commodore VIC 20… but I’m familiar with some of the C64 games.
Sean C and the rest of you retro gamerz (Sean had Colonization installed on his computer the last time I was at his house) will [...]
