I know faithful reader Sean C had a Commodore 64. Anyone else?
I did not… as I had the sweet Commodore VIC 20… but I’m familiar with some of the C64 games.
Sean C and the rest of you retro gamerz (Sean had Colonization installed on his computer the last time I was at his house) will probably like this excellent C64 games site
You can actually play these games at the website… nice. Actually… it isn’t nice at all… the games stink and they make you wonder how you ever thought they were fun… but anyway.
EDIT: Sean C… do you mean this?

I can’t believe that you think those games stink. I had a Commodore 64. It has since mysteriously disappeared. No one seems to know that happened to it. Wouldn’t it be crazy to fire one up again?

I found one at a yardsale once. The C64, disk drive, and t.v. I could never get it to fire up though. I was hoping to find some of those great games I used to play (Jumpman Jr., 7 cities of Gold, Jordan vs. Bird, …)

Wow!!! That is exactly the one. I can remember spending hours playing that. A couple others that I remember are Hardball (The baseball game that you see Fred Savage playing in Princess Bride), Spy vs. Spy, and Epyx’ World Games series. What great memories. Thanks for the post.

I had a Vic20 too - in fact, I still have it. Do you want to come over and play?
My favourite program was something called “sentences”. You put in words, and it created random sentences. Really.
