Hi… there was a large earthquake in southern Taiwan last night. We live in the Taipei area which is in the north. I was out on my scooter at the time, but Angie and the kids felt it very strongly. When we checked later and realized that it was about 7 on the Richter scale and saw that it was very near Taiwan’s 2nd largest city, Kaohsiong, where we know a few people including some co-workers… we became a bit concerned.
The phone lines were all busy (or cut) to that area so we didn’t really find out until the next morning that John & Cheryl Dunn’s family were all OK. They said they haven’t heard of any large scale damage. We know how sensational the media is these days so I wanted to put something up on the web letting you know we are OK.
