Zach’s birthday was on May 7th… my present to him was an overnight camping trip. Since we live on the edge of the city, all we had to do was drive about 15 minutes and we were at a great campsite with a rushing river and a swimming pool and places to hike and bike… we had a GREAT hike. It wasn’t very long, but it was steep and very beautiful scenery.

We cooked over the fire for dinner and we ate like kings… sausages… fish… little steaks…

AWESOME!

Here are a few pictures from our outing. You can click on them to enlarge.

You can see it is really steep… Z is standing about 8 feet in front of me.

We found this hole… but no evidence of animals using it.

At first, I thought this was a beehive… but it was actually an anthive or whatever it would be called if ants were living in it.

I think the ears on this goat are cool.

We found this jawbone on the side of the path…

This picture is for Michael Turton… who posts great pictures of spiders and other critters on his blog.

The view from about 1/2 way up the mountain.

How come you guys don’t use Flickr? It is stable, free, and the professional version is $47 for 2 yrs, very affordable and lots of great features. Save yourself some serious bandwidth.
