I’m referring to this post about my boys’ fauxhawks.
If you are not the father of little boys and girls, you might not get this post at all…
BUT…
sometimes when your little girls ask you for things… you just can’t say no…
and…
sometimes you want your little boys to think you are cool.
Often, we end up being an uncool pushover.

Sanajaya rules! Love him or hate him (and in this case, I’m assuming you hate the little *******), he’ll do well this summer during the tour and beyond. He’s very charming and all that, so lay off the kid, for God’s sake — after all, he’s only 17 years old. He was good for American Idol, and many people are already making money off of him, of which he doesn’t see a nickel. Yes, of course, he knew what he was getting into when entering the contest (even tho he’s still a MINOR), but this is beyond anyone’s wildest expectations.

I have to confess… I added the ******* to Robert’s comment…
for one: my kids read this blog
for two: that word actually means something and it doesn’t describe Sanjaya at all
and as an aside… no hating here at SQJTaipei… all are loved!
I did see that American Idol is going to tour in my hometown of Omaha… if I was there, I’d probably take my wife to see the show.

I had some people at work look at Ben’s mohawk and they linked to your blog. They had problems seeing the mouse over pictures because of the resolution on their computer. They couldn’t see the whole picture with the mouse over at the top of the page.

Actually… are people still running 800 x 600 or what? how does the pic not fit? I think the pic is only 600 pixels tall… perhaps people have too many toolbars installed at the top of their browser? Maybe they can hit F11 which will make Firefox or IE go to fullscreen mode… hit it again to toggle back.

The pictures are adorable! The title, “Also Not Inspired by Sanjaya”, is not so adorable and a bit misleading, but I don’t think you meant any harm to Sanjaya.
On another note, how wonderful for you and your family to be in Taipei . . . what a great learning experience for your children.
