Open and Closed Doors

The other day, Mark Roberts started post #6 in the series Ancient Ephesus and the New Testament with these words from Paul:

“But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries” (1 Cor 16:8-9).

Christians seem to talk a lot about “open doors” and “closed doors”. Everyone is different, but it seems that most people equate “open doors” with “no problems” and “smooth sailing” and “進行順利的”.

Interesting that Paul didn’t make that same conclusion…

Hmmm…
