Not an insult… far from it.
I’ve been trying to get through about a million unread items in my feedreader and kept saving Sowell’s articles for later because they are almost always good and thought provoking and I wanted to make sure I had time for them.
The result?
If I clicked “share” on all of them (in Google Reader) they’d hog up almost all the spots in my “recently read elsewhere” widget in the sidebar… and they all deserve to be shared. So I’m sharing them here in a post of their own.
Sowell is a great economist, but he has a keen eye for other public policy issues as well. His books are interesting, scholarly, practical, and most importantly… documented and factual. His opinion columns are born from the same wisdom. I don’t uncritically accept everything from any writer… but Sowell is probably the closest I get after years of reading.
If you are interested in learning how to think through issues for yourself instead of relying on the “media” or pop culture to tell you what to think… here’s some links for you…
