I could not agree more with the seven things listed in this article about what I’m hoping for in the movie.

The fact is that The Hobbit has a WAY different vibe to it than LOTR, right? But LOTR was so popular that it would be easy for the studio to make TONS of money by just making The Hobbit as if it were a LOTR prequel…. but that would be SO WRONG!
