Blogs I Like: Luckyjet’s Weblog

June 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

I think I’ll start adding some posts about blogs that I like to read. They aren’t in any order…

First up is Luckyjet’s Weblog.

From Luckyjet’s “Who is this Guy?” post…

I’m an airline pilot, photographer, violin luthier, machinist, dad, husband, grandfather, frustrated artist, unknown musician, and famous project starter.

My family has a small violin shop that has evolved into an efficient time and effort eating machine.  This is basically a full time project by itself. I often tear walls out of my house and occasionally put them back.

Please note that project completion is not one of my stronger attributes. That is a main reason that flying is a good career for me, it is something that once you start doing it you have to finish it or  Newtonian physics will finish it for you. And the pay is good but the hours suck.

I am not a pilot but I love physics, aircraft, and primary sources. Luckyjet is my fix for all three.

In the most recent post, “What Makes It Go?”, Luckyjet talks about the engines… the previous post was about the cockpit… he’s also covered salaries, work hours, travel tips, weather, safety, etc… pretty much anything and everything about the airline industry from the pilot’s perspective.

I love the way he writes… and the topics are endlessly interesting… at least to me…

As Luckyjet says at the close of many posts…

Happy Landings
