Here’s 3 vids from the latest typhoon. Fortunately the 3rd typhoon that I mentioned in the previous post isn’t going to affect Taiwan.

During my bike ride by the river last Thursday I saw a lot of damage and how high the river rose. Kudos to everyone involved in the cleanup… heavy machinery everywhere. I did have to portage my bike a few spots where the path was ankle deep in thick mud but those areas were blocked off and I was just being Taiwanese in disregarding the warning tape. I ended up returning to the van via regular streets (so as to avoid that mud) and the sheer terror of being blasted by a car from behind kept my pace up nicely although the portage and times when I could ride but not at speed killed my average which I’m working hard to increase. I’m just glad I could get out and ride, though.
