My goal was 40km.
Reaching that goal was seriously in doubt when, in my 2nd kilometer, I saw 2 dogs attacking a kitten. I have to admit that I really didn’t want to stop as I knew we couldn’t take another cat. We already have 1 which is probably twice as many as we should have.
However… [...]

2008 Sports and English Camp Website Goes Live
March 10th, 2008 · Comments Off
www.sportsandenglish.com is now LIVE!
I’d like to see more pictures in the gallery… I’d like to have it translated in more places, but it seems ready for visitors.
The first Team Expansion Sports and English Camp was in the summer of 2006. I could not attend as we were in the USA at that time, [...]

OK Jen… I’ll play your little game and invite my 3 readers to do the same in my comments and on their own blogs.
Read Jen’s post if you want to know some of the more detailed rules but basically this is how it works:
open up the digital media player of your choice
hit the random/shuffle button/feature/box/whatever
look [...]

Controllers for original Xbox
February 22nd, 2008 · Comments Off
I’m losing my mind trying to find these here in Taiwan.
Every shop (I’ve checked DOZENS) only carries Playstation and Xbox 360 gear.
Most stores (of any kind) in Taiwan only have shelf space for the newest stuff so I’m not all that surprised, but I still think there HAS to be some in Taiwan somewhere!
Does anyone [...]

February 20th, 2008 · 1 Comment
A personal favorite… PEANY CANDY!
All that peany goodness in one small sweet package.
The New Year holiday officially ends tomorrow with the Lantern Festival. We hope to go join in some of the festivities tonight and if we do… and if it doesn’t rain… we might have some pics of that.
Back to my coffee… and [...]

American Idol Omaha

Yeah… I’m from Omaha. Actually Bellevue, but we are on friendly terms with Omaha so I can say I’m from Omaha and it will be O.K. with both cities.
I watched American Idol last season… and that’s a mistake I’ll definitely never make again… but when I saw that the latest show was Omaha auditions… I [...]

Merry Christmas… Happy Birthday… and everything else…
December 31st, 2007 · 1 Comment
Wow… I’ve still been sick and/or busy because of trying to catch up after being sick.
Some of the people in our community asked Angie and I if our church would help organize a Christmas party for the kids who live here. We were very glad to help out and the party went well. We had [...]

BREAKING: Weirton, WV now has internet access!

A few weeks ago I wondered if WV had internet access.
At least Wierton does.
To the visitor from Weirton, I don’t know who you were… but if you come back and leave a comment, I’ll send you a present as I mentioned in the original post. Seriously!
NOTE: I love WV and *know* y’all have internet access… [...]

33 Reasons the Steelers will beat the Pats
December 7th, 2007 · Comments Off
I’m a far bigger college football fan than a pro football fan… except for my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
Outside of the past 4 years, while Nebraska has played mostly sissy football, each team is known for tough defense, passionate play, overachieving, and crazy fans.
This Sunday, the Stillers have a chance to knock off the only remaining [...]
