Many of you who have visited us have been to the top of Taipei 101. The views are amazing… but one of the most interesting things you can see at the top is the 730 ton tuned mass damper which provides stability during high winds or earthquakes. Some of you who have visited are physics [...]

Love this House!
June 21st, 2008 · No Comments
How would your kids like to live in a house filled with puzzles, contraptions, and secret compartments which are just built into the house itself?
In our case… it wouldn’t just be my kids, but my kids’ dad too!
This article is about such a house. The parents were remodeling and asked the design firm to be [...]

The Last Wisdom Tooth
May 15th, 2008 · No Comments
So today I mourn the loss of my last wisdom tooth.
Surprisingly the emotional pain isn’t as bad as the physical.
The top ones were fairly easy and not so painful… but the bottom teeth are a totally different story.
WOW. THIS. HURTS.
Apparently the lower jawbone (or is there only one jawbone?) is much more dense [...]

Post Surgery Update
January 7th, 2008 · 5 Comments

Angie stayed [...]

I’m pasting this letter that I just sent out to a mailing list of people who support our work here in prayer. I wanted to make sure people who read the blog but aren’t on that list get the scoop, too.
I’d like to update you a little about my back surgery. Angie has mentioned it [...]

Jellocar
November 19th, 2007 · No Comments
As you know… I love computer games. Our family (most of us) can’t get enough Jellocar these days. Maybe you’ll enjoy playing it over the Thanksgiving holiday.
If you have Windows or Xbox360 I’d call this one a MUST DOWNLOAD. I bet you’ve never played anything like it before. It seems like the perfect game to [...]

NationStates

I can’t remember how I found this… but it was a couple years ago probably. It looked remotely intreresting so I bookmarked it. I recently went through my bookmarks… found it… and started my own nation.
It is somewhat interesting… not too much… but OK.
